Veena Ravi has been collecting dolls for 20-25 years. The underwater city of Dwarka has been recreated in her Basavanagudi home using over 6,000 Dasara figurines. Each year, a new theme is curated using the figurines to depict a different story from Hindu mythology. This year's theme is Dwarka, the holy city that, according to legend, was submerged under the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna departed from the world. Veena Ravi explains that the family tradition has now become a local attraction, drawing about 100 visitors per day during Dasara. Planning for the display begins months in advance, with the figurines carefully arranged starting in August to ensure every detail is perfect.
